Remembering you is easy, I do it every day!

The reason why I say it, it’s been five years today.

It’s lonesome here without you, no more laughing with you by your side.

I remember many times we all were baling hay.

You in the cab with the air and a beer in hand,

And me raking hay and the boys loading wagons in the dust and heat!

You always gave a smile with a thumbs up,

Which I thought was neat!

Then here comes Mom and the grandkids to the rescue

To relieve us for a little while with a sandwich and a drink!

Dad would say, “Another day and another field done

And another day of hard work done.“

So no matter how much time goes by, missing you will stay the same.

It’s only awhile we must part, we’ll bless the memories within our heart.

Have we told you we love you today!
