A 50-year-old man was rendered unconscious in a bicycle crash Thursday afternoon, May 14, near Alameda Park in Butler Township, according to Butler County Emergency Services dispatch.

The injury was reported just before 12:30 p.m. on a bike trail in the woods near Malwood Drive.

A medical helicopter was placed on standby related to the incident.

Butler Township Volunteer Fire District, VA Butler Fire and Emergency Services and Butler Ambulance Service were initially dispatched. Butler Bureau of Fire was added after dispatch.
