PENN TWP — An elderly man escaped a mobile home fire early this morning at the Port O’ Call mobile home park off Church Road.

The fire in the 100-block of Bay Street started about 2:30 a.m., according to Butler County Emergency Services.

Neighbors said the man escaped the trailer unharmed.

The structure was a total loss. The trailers in the park are owned by their tenants.

Volunteer firefighters from Penn and Middlesex townships battled the fire. All units were cleared by 4:30 a.m.
