SRU baseball earns No. 26 ranking

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University baseball team is ranked 26th nationally in NCAA Division II by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Only two other teams from the Atlantic Region are ranked among the top 30. Seton Hill is ranked No. 5 while Mercyhurst is 29th.

CWNC plays host to WPIAL twinbill

CRANBERRY TWP — Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic will host a pair of WPIAL quarterfinal basketball games Friday night.

Burrell will play Chartiers-Houston in Class AA girls at 6:30 a.m. That will be followed by the Sewickley Academy-Eden Christian game at 8 p.m.
