Mars tops Freeport, 9-2
Bob Spithaler drove in four runs and Brendan Malone added two RBI as Mars defeated Freeport II 9-2 in Eagle County Baseball action Wednesday.
Mike Colella had a single, double and scored two runs while Mike Devine and Joel Gatti each singled and drove in a run for mars (3-1).
Andrew DiNardo struck out eight in the complete-game effort.
Wagner and Durkin each singled for Freeport II.
