LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — Jim Miller allowed three hits over six innings and the Slippery Rock Sliders produced 10 singles in posting a 6-3 Prospect League baseball victory at Lorain County Thursday night.

The win was Slippery Rock’s first of the season. The Sliders continue a season-opening six-game road trip at Lorain County tonight.

Shawn Patterson got the win in relief, working an inning. Mike Porcaro had two hits and two RBI, Derek Peaje two hits and a single RBI for the Sliders. Trent Wooldridge and Drew Bryan added two hits each.

Nolan Neuschaefer paced the Ironmen with three hits, including a double.

The Sliders’ road trip continues with two games at Chillicothe before the team returns home to host the Butler BlueSox next week.
