Sliders top Paints, 5-3
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Slippery Rock scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning thanks to a big error and held on for a 5-3 road win over Chillicothe in Prospect League action Sunday night.
The Sliders (10-20) overcame a 3-0 deficit in the second inning for the win.
Derek Peake went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Slippery Rock.
Shawn Patterson picked up the win in relief, tossing 1 1-3 scoreless innings. Josh Tinnon got the save pitching two scoreless frames.
Slippery Rock will begin the second half of the season Tuesday night against Lorain County at Critchfield Park.
