BlueSox improve to 6-1 in 2nd half
The Butler BlueSox plated two runs in the top of the ninth inning to slip past the Lorain County Ironmen 6-5 in Prospect League baseball play Monday.
Kyle Petty had two hits and an RBI and Justin Brozick a single and two RBIs to lead the way for Butler (6-1), which also had a triple and RBI from Elliot Caldwell, a double and RBI from Alex Miklos and single and RBI from George Roberts. Gavin Meyer also scored two runs for the BlueSox.
Michael Burke had three hits, including a double, and two runs and Ryan Wonders added a double and RBI for the Ironmen (1-6).
Chris Marangon pitched 1 2-3 innings of relief to earn the win, while Nathan Antone gave up two runs on three hits in one inning to take the loss.
