Sliders earn split
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Trent Wooldridge went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI as the Slippery Rock Sliders took Game 1 of a doubleheader against Chillocothe 5-4 Friday evening.
The Sliders (10-12) weren’t so fortunate in the nightcap, managing just three hits in a 1-0 extra-inning loss.
In the first game, Josh Tinnon picked up the win and Zach Walsh got the final two outs for his fifth save of the season.
Zach Looney and Derek Peake also had two hits in the win for Slippery Rock. Peake’s two hits were doubles.
In the second game, Ben Rawding tossed seven shutout innings, by Walsh couldn’t get out of a jam in the eighth and picked up the loss.
Radley Hadded had a double for the Sliders in the nightcap.
