Linwood L. Lindsey

Linwood L. “Pete” Lindsey, 85, of Universal City, Texas, formerly of Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday in San Antonio, Texas.

Linwood was born March 31, 1930, in Hilliards, Pa. He was the son of the late James Roy Lindsey and the late Adria J. McKissick Lindsey.

Linwood retired from the U.S. Air Force as a chief master sergeant with 30 years of service. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Universal City, Texas, the Connoquenessing IOOF 278 and the Bellevue NE Lodge 325 F&AM.

Linwood is survived by one son, Andrew F. Lindsey of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Etoil M. Robinson of Saxonburg; and three brothers, Ronald E. Lindsey of Saxonburg, Curwin Lindsey of Warwick, R.I., and Norman Lindsey of Butler.

Lindwood was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Drayton Lindsey and one brother, Gary Lindsey.

LINDSEY — The family of Linwood L. “Pete” Lindsey, who died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Floyd Barnhart of the Ridgeville Methodist Church officiating.Burial will be at the Rosewood Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.If desired, online condolences may be submitted at www.williamfyoungfh.com
