Concordia finalizes purchase of SpiriTrust
Cabot-based Concordia Lutheran Ministries, a senior residential services provider, has completed its acquisition of six former SpiriTrust Lutheran communities.
In early February, Concordia announced it was the successful bidder for SpiriTrust Lutheran, an organization that operated six senior life plan communities in Pennsylvania before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2025.
Concordia acquired the York-based nonprofit through a court-approved bankruptcy auction for $51 million, according to the purchase agreement.
As part of the transition, Concordia plans to invest resources into the communities, including capital improvements, operational enhancements and expanded service offerings.
The six communities Concordia is acquiring in the deal are The Village at Gettysburg in Gettysburg; The Village at Kelly Drive and The Village at Sprenkle Drive in York; The Village at Luther Ridge in Chambersburg; The Village at Shrewsbury in Shrewsbury and The Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover.
