Butler’s Julianna Lockwood placed third in the discus (110-0) and Slippery Rock’s Samantha Montgomery had a third-place finish in the triple jump (36-3) at Friday’s Pine-Richland Invitational.

Ava DeLorenzo earned two more medals for the Golden Tornado, finishing seventh in the triple jump (35-3.5) and eighth in the long jump (16-1.5). Butler’s Zari Golojuh had a seventh-place effort in the 3,200 meters (11:48.23).

Montgomery also finished fifth in the long jump (16-5). The Rockets’ Natalie Wilson was sixth in the pole vault (10-7).

The Golden Tornado will take part in the West Mifflin Last Chance Meet on Thursday.
