HARRISBURG — In an effort to explain the state's deer management program and meet interested residents closer to home, the Pennsylvania Game Commission will hold seven open houses across the state.

The nearest one for Butler County residents will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 21 and 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 22 at Rocky Grove Fire Hall, 29 Wood St., Franklin.

To get there, take Route 417 North from Franklin, then make a right at the blinking light. Fire hall is on the left.
