Meridian, East Butler still alive
Meridian eliminated Slippery Rock 5-1 and East Butler ousted Saxonburg 10-4 in loser’s bracket games Saturday in the Butler County American Legion playoffs.
Meridian will play East Butler at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Highfield Park. The winner of that game will play Center Township in the loser’s bracket final Thursday and will face Butler City Saturday needing to win twice to win the title.
