PENN TWP — Butler Country Club will host a U.S. Women’s Open golf qualifier Monday.

The qualifier is one of 24 taking place across the country through the month of May. The top three finishers in the 36-hole event Monday at BCC will earn berths in the U.S. Women’s Open.

The U.S. Women’s Open is slated for June 19-22 in Pinehurst, N.C.

There are 75 women scheduled to tee off Monday morning.

They will play in groups of three. The first tee time is scheduled for 7:40 a.m., the last at 9:34 a.m. Golfers will play all 36 holes Monday.

Golfers representing 14 states and several countries will participate. There are no players from Butler County in the qualifier.
