SOUTHVIEW — An autopsy was pending on a woman found dead inside her living room during a modular home fire in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Washington County Coroner Tim Warco says 64-year-old Pamela Ann Arnold was pronounced dead early Thursday morning, shortly after midnight. The fire at her home in the Southview section of Mount Pleasant Township was reported about 10 p.m. Wednesday.

A state police fire marshal was investigating.

DANVILLE — A 900-pound bull on his way to be butchered spent an hour on the lam before being shot and killed by his owner.The Daily Item of Sunbury reported the animal got loose Wednesday near Danville Middle School and prompted a two-mile chase by his owners, two police agencies and fire police.Wayne Myers of Bald Top was driving the animal to the slaughter when it escaped while he was stopped at a red light.
