BC3 receives grant, plans to expand dual-credit programs
BUTLER ― Butler County Community College was awarded a state grant in the amount of $347,834.
The grant is intended to increase access to dual-credit programs for high school students by increasing the number of courses that count toward fulfilling college credit requirements.
“This grant for BC3 will expand real-world opportunities for our region’s students, equipping them with practical skills, early college credits and a clearer path forward, all while reducing the financial burden on families. Programs like this ensure students graduate ready to contribute, compete and succeed in today’s workforce.” state Rep. Marci Mustello, R-11th, said in a news release announcing the grant.
The funding was made available via the Pennsylvania Dual-Credit Innovation Grant and state General Fund appropriations.
