Lenny Rodgers
In loving memory of Lenny Rodgers who passed away four years ago today.
He lived with his wife in a house that sat on a country road
Where their kids and grandkids would love to go.
When you open the door to his place
There he sat in his recliner chair with that smirk on his face.
Did you bring me the paper he would say?
I’ll pay you back some other day.
He would ask if you wanted something to eat
If the answer was yes, better have a seat.
Soup is what he had made with the leftovers from Sunday.
Dad knew a lot about different things
But tinkering with lawn mowers was his thing.
He even made a swing set by hand for the grandkids to play
He loved when they would come and stay.
Hunting was a hobby he had
It even took his life which was very sad.
