Lawrence Jewart
In memory of Lawrence Jewart who passed away eight years ago today,December 31, 2002.
My dad had many jobs. As a teenager, he worked deep in the mines to bring out the coal. As a husband, he worked at Spangs. Sometimes he would drive trucks up and down the highway.
Evening and weekends, you would see him plowing the fields, planting crops and cutting hay.
He worked hard to feed his Black Angus beauties. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his boys. He always had good stories to tell that made us laugh. We were taught to work hard and do a good job. We are a large family and we miss him very much. On holidays we gather together but it is not the same. Some are missing. We make a circle, hold hands and say a prayer. It somehow brings us closer for a little while...
