My life goes on without you

Nothing is the same

Living my life without you

Is the hardest part of all.

Some may think I am not lonely

When at times they see me smile

Little do they know the heartaches

That I feel day by day.

All I have are memories and your picture in a frame

Your memories are my keepsake with which I’ll never part.

God has you in His keeping and I have you in my heart.

A million times I have needed you

A million times I’ve cried

A million time I’ve said “Ike”

About a decision I have to make

Your answer is always silent

But somehow I know you heard

As something tells me to “carry on”

Without your whispered word

Life is for the living, I know that is true

Although you have passed away

I will always love and miss you.
