Michael A. Rodgers who left us April 6, 2003

You were surely a gift from God, our darling little boy.

You brought such happiness into our lives and filled our hearts with joy.

And those happy days rolled by,

It’s good we didn’t know

That your time with us would be cut short,

For we never could have let you go.

And as we proudly watched you grow

We surely should have known,

That God was also watching you, and prepared you for his own.

There was so much you had yet to do,

In time you became a man.

But all those things we wished for you were never in God’s plan.

For all the hopes and dreams we had, were never meant to be.

For God took your hand that April night and whispered “Come with me”

We were left with many tears

Our hearts are full of pain

Our lives without you, Mike will never be the same

We miss your ready laughter,

Those hugs and sunny smiles

Our longings to have you back again hold pain off for a while

We have our precious memories and Mike, be blessed with love

For we will be together again in Heaven up above.
