Ken McMurdy Sr.
In loving memory of our Dad, Ken McMurdy Sr. who passed away three years ago today
Dear Dad,
Three years have gone by since the day you left us. Sometimes, it’s the little things that we didn’t use to think twice about that can stop us in our tracks and make us think of a memory we have of you. Something you said or something you did. Guidance you offered to us. Your smile, Your laughter.
Thankfully , we can cling to those memories whether they are happy or sad and just for a moment feel a little closer to you. We’re lucky to have so many great memories of you. We wouldn’t trade them for anything. Many of our memories are accompanied by something we learned from you. Lessons that have helped make us who we are today.
In a way, you will live on through each of us. Perhaps through a memory we can share about you. Through a story someone else might tell us. Or through the grandchildren that will never really know you any other way except through the memories we share with them. Maybe even when we do something a particular way, just because that’s “the way Dad did it.”
We think of you every day and every day we miss you. Thank you for the memories.
