Today is quietly remembered,

But my silent tears still flow.

Memory forever recalls the date,

Of losing you six years ago.

Do you really know how much I love you?

Do you really know how much I grieve?

There’s not a day that I don’t think of you,

And the happiness you gave me.

So much has changed since you’ve been gone,

Sara and Blake you didn’t get to meet.

Kyle and Shane are terrific grownup boys,

For I hope in heaven you can see.

When you’re alone with Jesus,

Could you ask him something for me?

Why does my Faith feel shattered,

Instead of strengthening?

I still wait for you to come through the door,

Even though we are apart.

I know you’re in a better place,

But I’ll always carry you inside my heart.

So until we meet and touch again,

I hope you’re listening, and watching over me.

Someday it will all make sense,

But don’t know when that will be.

Somehow all the precious memories,

Will have to carry me through.

Until the time comes for us to be,
