My dearest angel,
It’s seems like only yesterday you were running around in your wheelchair. That is because you are with me in my heart every day.
We have tapes of your birthdays, Christmases and other times. We also have pictures of you in a big box along with your awards, trophies and cards with notes saying how you touched them. You carried your handicap well.
This is a beautiful time of year. You were born August 15, 1957. Dad and I were patiently waiting for you to make your grand appearance and you finally did. All your life you were strong. Dad was so proud of your muscles. He’d tell his friends “you want to see muscles, look at these” He’d say, “Rollem up Glenny.” I’m glad you are in heaven with your dad and most of our family.
You crawled around in casts and big body braces. They were heavy but you crawled or rolled and got where you wanted to go. If you would get bumped or hurt, you would say “You should see the other guy.” Your personality and smile is still remembered even by the kids that were young or teens still tell me what a great person you were.
I know you’ll have a Happy Birthday in heaven. Your dad and most of our family will celebrate, you’ll have a special birthday. You are a special angel, Jesus and Blessed Mother will be there. We are having a mass for you. You will be with us as you always were.
You are greatly loved and sadly missed. Ask Jesus to look down on us and help us. You and Dad pray for us, too. Give Dad a big hug and kiss from all of us. Tell Jesus we thank him for all the blessings He gave us and look down on earth and make things better.
Until we see Dad and you and our loved ones. I say Blessed Birthday my heavenly angel.
