Life was still young

For my best friend Gary

I had hope that he'd stay

But he was tired and weary.

His joking and laughter

Will remain here after

For I loved them so

And will never let go.

Although he left us

And is with God today

His smile remains

For the rest of my stay

And my stay too,

Might not be long

But I'll come to His arms

Where my best friend has gone.
