There’s a face that is haunting us ever,

There’s a voice that we’re longing to hear,

There’s a smile we’ll remember forever,

Tho we try to forget every tear.

There’s a memory fond and true,

There’s a token of affection, dear

And heartache still for you.

A heart of gold stopped beating,

Two shining eyes at rest,

God broke my heart to prove He only takes the best.
