James H. Gray
In loving memory of our husband, dad and papa, James H. Gray.
November 28, 1929 - December 5, 2006
“My legacy is not the money I have. It’s the family I have, the land I’ve accrued, and the enjoyment of the family with the land. Every time I walk back to the woods, I look down across the mowed front, a great joy comes over me. I’m a millionaire and living off the interest.”
James H. Gray
Our dad didn’t know it, but he was a billionaire in our eyes! His interest was the immense joy he received from his family that he so dearly invested love, time and energy. He made each of us feel rich in the love he unselfishly shared. Our family cherishes what Dad created and feels so very fortunate to have been left such a gift. Our dad has been gone for eight long years and on the anniversary of his death, we are saddened but celebratory of the legacy of such a loving family.
Dad held our family together like glue. We know that our commitment to each other continues to make him proud. His legacy lives on in each of the eyes of those who lovingly call him, Papa, Dad or Jim.
