It is said there is a reason

It is said that time will heal

But neither time nor reason,

Will change how I feel.

For no-one knows the heartache

That lies beneath my smile,

No-one knows how many times,

I have broken down and cried.

I want to tell you something

So there won’t be any doubt,

You are so wonderful to think about

But so hard to live without.

15 years is an awful long time to be without your best friend.

And I know we speak often,

But without your smile and hugs,

It is hard to be without.
