Every time I smile,

Every time I sigh,

I think of your beautiful face,

And a tear rolls down my eye.

You were my world,

My inspiration and my heart,

And when you left me,

I thought I’d fall apart.

You were my best friend,

My world, my confidante,

A part of me went with you

When my world fell apart.

I didn’t want to live without you,

Though you wanted me to be strong,

I wanted nothing more to be with you,

Even if it meant going along.

But you taught me well, and I must live on

To complete God’s precious plan,

And all this while I remember

That I will see you again.

I think of you in everything I do,

I pray and say,

Wanting to make you proud of me,

When I’m with you again someday.

I can’t believe it’s been 10 years,

Sometimes it seems like yesterday,

Sometimes it feels like forever.

I’ll live my life in God’s light,

Until that day when we meet again.
