On our Anniversary

Buddy, I know you have been rejoicing with our heavenly Father over this past month.

Knowing that you are with Jesus is my only joy right now.

Although my heart is broken, I forgive you for leaving me far too soon, only because I know your suffering is over.

I will live each day, the Lord is pleased to give me, with the blessed hope of being together again in our eternal home with our Lord and Savior.

God’s word says, in Psalm 116:15, Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

So I know He welcomed you with open arms.

Thinking of our anniversary is very difficult because I miss you so much.

Just knowing how much it always was such an event for us.

I will miss the way you planned that day far ahead of time with where you’d take me to celebrate.

What I will miss the most is the flowers you’d so faithfully give me each year.

So I will be thinking of you as soon as I wake on our anniversary morning with such love for you that you will feel that love in heaven.
