Saxonburg bows out
Nick Chavera tossed a one-hit shutout Thursday night as Pine-Richland advanced to the second round of the Eagle County baseball playoffs with a 3-0 win over Saxonburg.
Zach Murray and Zach Sharrar had key doubles for P-R, which broke a scoreless tie by scoring three runs in the sixth inning.
The loss eliminated Saxonburg from postseason play.
