It was a long time coming, but when Another Realm Crystals and More opened its doors Aug. 13 at 208 N. Main St., it was the culmination of a dream for owner Crissy Reesman of Butler.

“This has been planned for 20 years,” said Reesman. “It always wasn't the right time, and then suddenly it was the right time.”

Reesman has been interested in being a store owner almost as long she's been interested in the crystals and geodes that make up her merchandise.

“We sell crystals mostly,” she said. “It's a metaphysical shop. It's a spiritual shop. You can just call it a New Age energy shop.”

And it's also a good gift shop for rock collectors.

Reesman said the crystals have individual healing properties. “They can be used as tools to help heal different aspects: physical, mental,” Reesman said.

Store hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
