The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has provided this report on the Dec. 31 Eighty Four livestock auction.

CATTLE 184 — (Compared with last week's sale, slaughter cows sold 2. lower; bulls sold 1.50 higher.)

Heifers — Standard 1-2, two, 62. and 65.

Cows — Breakers 75-80 percent lean, 52.-56.; boners, 80-85 percent lean, 47.-51.; lean, 85-90 percent lean, 39.-46.50.

Bulls — Yield grade 1, 1210-2220 lbs., 51.50-58.50.

Feeder cattle — Steers — Medium and large 1, 657-750 lbs., 77.-85.; medium and large 2, 335-402 lbs., 72.; two, large 3, 850 and 880 lbs., 45. and 49. Heifers — Medium and large 2, 470-600 lbs., 70.-76. Bulls — Medium and large 2, 270-525 lbs., 58.-83.; 540-745 lbs., 69.-75.; two, large 3, 200 and 250 lbs., 85. and 110.

CALVES 212 — (Holstein bulls sold lower with light demand.)

Vealers — Standard and good, 80-155 lbs., 20.-50.; utility, 60-115 lbs., 4.-15.

Farm calves — No. 1, Holstein bulls, 90-125 lbs., mostly 85.-105., fancy calves up to 120.; No. 2, 85-120 lbs., 55.-80. One, No. 2, Holstein heifer, 90 lbs., 250. Two, Jersey heifers, 80 and 85 lbs., 125. and 225.

Boars — Two, 11.50 and 17.50.
