BUTLER TWP — The annual American Heart Association Heart Walk will be held on Oct. 14 at Butler County Community College.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the walk at 10 a.m.

"For Your Health Education and Exercise Expo," organized by the Butler Health System, will take place immediately following the walk.

The American Heart Association's Heart Walk has a 5K, 1 mile or inside 1/4-mile track option.

The walk promotes the importance of exercise as part of a heart-healthy lifestyle while raising money to continue vital research leading to the latest treatments for cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

The goal of this year's walk is to raise $35,000.
