Josh Rennick, an eighth-grader at Knoch Middle School, earned his Eagle Scout rank following his Board of Review on Aug. 4. He is the son of Dave and Cassi Rennick.

Josh has been involved in Scouting since 2017, and is a Brotherhood member of Kuskitannee Lodge 168 of the Order of the Arrow. During his time in Scouting, he has earned 58 merit badges, and completed 49 camping nights, 130 hiking miles and more than 187 service hours, according to an email from Knoch School District.

His leadership roles include patrol leader, scribe, assistant senior patrol leader and senior patrol leader with Troop 53 in Penn Township. For his Eagle Scout project, Josh led a group of Scouts and adult leaders in building two benches and planting a memorial garden at Nixon United Methodist Church in Penn Township. The garden is in memory of one of his previous leaders, Ray Hoffman.

Josh is also a member of the Knoch Middle School Student Council, track team, marching band drum line, pep and jazz bands, and is a PMEA percussionist.
