Richard Fleeger
Richard W. “Rick” Fleeger, 48, of West Sunbury, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital, after a two-year courageous battle with lung cancer. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family.
Rick was born Sept. 7, 1977, to Richard G. and Laura L. (Holbein) Fleeger.
Rick graduated from Butler High School in 1996, and then Bradford Business School, with an associate degree in paralegal studies. Rick most recently worked as the deputy program manager at ASRC Federal in Boyers. He was also the assistant varsity girls basketball coach at Moniteau High School. Rick enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball with his daughter, hunting on his family farm and coaching the basketball team.
In addition to his parents, Rick is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nicole E. (Beblo) Fleeger; his daughter, Sophia Fleeger; his sisters, Melissa (Don) Helfer and Rebecca (Clint) Kiddle; his brother, Lucas (Lillian) Fleeger; mother-in-law, Linda Beblo; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill Holbein and Donna Holbein, Gordon Fleeger and Shirley Fleeger; and cousin, Eric Clauser.
FLEEGER — Family and friends of Richard W. “Rick” Fleeger, who died Tuesday, April 14, 2026, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 17, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler, with Pastor Joel Benson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Moniteau High School Basketball Boosters, Attn: Amanda Mackalica, 1801 West Sunbury Road, West Sunbury, PA 16061.
