Butler Road Race president Mike Franko announced Thursday that the 40th edition of the BRR will take place rain or shine Saturday.

Race officials will be monitoring any potential storms and may delay the start of the race accordingly. But the event will not be canceled.

SRU lands 3 on PSAC Spring Top 10

LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University was the only school in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference to land three athletes on the Spring Top 10 that recognizes five male and five female athletes for their efforts in the classroom in the field.

Rock track and field athletes Tyler Melius, Sabrina Anderson and David Reinhardt earned the honors from the 18-team conference.

To be nominated, athletes must be a sophomore or older in academic standing and have a grade point average about 3.50.
