The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has provided this report on the July 7 New Wilmington livestock auction.

CATTLE 176

Steers — Choice 1-3, 1100-1450 lbs., 94.-102.; select 1-2, few, 1050-1480 lbs., 85.-89.50; standard 1-2, few, 1100-1400 lbs., 77.50-80.

Holstein steers — High choice and prime 2-3, one, 1515 lbs., 87.50; choice 2-3, two, 1375 and 1550 lbs., 80.50 and 83.

Heifers — Select 1-2, 1010-1230 lbs., 88.-93.; standard 1-2, 1000-1200 lbs., 80.-87.50.

Cows — Breakers 75-80 percent lean, 63.-77.50, mostly 68.-74.; boners, 80-85 percent lean, 58.-67.; lean, 85-90 percent lean, 52.-62.50. Shells 50.50 and down.

Bulls — Yield grade 1, 1080-1475 lbs., 72.-75.; yield grade 2, 1000-2210 lbs., 60.-73.50.

Feeder cattle — Heifers, Few, medium 2, 400-450 lbs., 82.-82.50; two, medium 2, 640 and 860 lbs., 70. and 74. Bulls — One, large 1, 380 lbs., 95.; two, medium 2, 490 and 590 lbs., 81. and 82.; few, medium 2, 785-945 lbs., 65.-74.
