Huth

Richard A. "Bubba" Huth, 57, of Freeport, died at 11 p.m. Thursday at ACMH Hospital.

Born March 8, 1950, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Regis K. and Eleanor Gamble Huth, who survives, of Freeport.

He was a Freeport police officer for 17 years. Then, he took classes at the Pittsburgh Institute of Culinary Arts. After graduation he did an internship at the Dollywood Park in Tennessee, and worked for a number of years at Umberto's Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Mr. Huth enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was a member of the Freeport Sportsman's Club, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Freeport, and was a past member of the Freeport Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his brother, Dennis P. and his wife, Carol, Huth of Allegheny Township; a sister-in-law, Janeen Huth of Freeport; three nephews, Dr. Jeremy and Jared Huth of Allegheny Township and Tyler Huth of Freeport; and a niece, Lindsay Huth of Freeport.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David L. Huth, in 1997.

"Bubba" Huth, who died Thursday, May 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, INC.</B>, 524 High St., Freeport. A parish wake service will be held Sunday evening at the funeral home. A parting prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by a 1 p.m. mass at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Freeport with the Rev. Thomas Federline officiating.
