The VA Butler Healthcare System and the Drug Enforcement Administration will host National Prescription Drug Take Back Day April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Butler VA New Castle Road campus parking lot.

Members of the community are invited to anonymously drop off unneeded tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs. The event helps people easily rid their homes of unneeded medications — old, unwanted or expired — that too often become a gateway to addiction.

Take Back Day has removed 19.8 million pounds of medication from circulation since its inception.
