Callery borough council discussed Monday, April 6, the notion of collaborating with nearby Mars borough to share emergency management coordinators.

Chris Clutter will hold the role for Callery and Mars boroughs. Clutter has served as the emergency management coordinator previously for Mars.

Rose Wirtz, Callery council president, said at Monday's meeting that this is the only way they will be able to have an emergency management coordinator.

She said she is confident in Clutter’s abilities.

“Chris will do a great job for us,” Wirtz said. “I feel quite certain.”

The council will vote to finalize this decision next month.
