Fire crews respond to fire in Zelienople early Friday
A fire in a sawdust bin at a Zelienople business required the response of several fire departments Friday morning.
ZELIENOPLE — A fire in a sawdust bin at a local business required the response of several fire departments Friday morning.
According to information from the Harmony Fire District, crews were dispatched at 1:43 a.m. Friday to BNZ Materials in Zelienople for a report of a fire in a sawdust collection system. The fire was contained in the storage bin, with minimal damage done to the structure.
Crews remained at the scene for several hours to empty the bin and ensure it did not rekindle. They cleared the scene around 6 a.m.
In addition to Harmony fire and EMS, crews from Franklin Township, Big Knob and Portersville responded.
