East Butler approved a bid for future tar and chipping work on roads and alleys in the borough at their April 6 meeting.

Out of three bids, Russell Standard’s bid of $96,384.78 for the roads and $1,104 for the alleys, a total of $97,488.78, was approved. The bid was the lowest of three submitted.

The other bids were from Youngblood Paving for a total of $97,778.50 for all work.

The third and highest bid from Midland Asphalt was 119,893.26 for all work.

The next East Butler meeting will be held on May 4 at 7 p.m.
