The Butler County Community College women's volleyball team improved to 17-3 Friday with a 3-0 victory over Pitt-Titusville.

The Pioneers won the match 30-23, 30-25, 30-23 to move to 13-0 in conference play.

Katie Jewart had 11 kills for BC3 while Katherine Smith added seven and Krista Ebner six. Shandy Gonzalez had 26 digs.

The Pioneers host the Community College of Beaver County Monday.

Tara Bailey recorded 10 saves in a losing effort Friday night as Slippery Rock University dropped a 2-0 at Houghton (N.Y.) College.The Rock is now 1-9 this season.
