Butler’s Santino Sloboda helps WPIAL all-stars beat Oklahoma in Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic: Roundup

Butler’s Santino Sloboda earned a 12-1 major decision, helping the WPIAL all-star team at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic trounce Oklahoma’s all-stars 56-3.

The Saturday all-star wrestling showcase, which also featured U.S. stars against some of Pennsylvania’s best and a girls matchup, was held at Peters Township High School.

Sloboda, a two-time PIAA bronze medalist, won the second bout of the match at 127 pounds to give the WPIAL a 9-0 lead. The team won 11 of 12 matchups.

Girls lacrosse

Butler girls lacrosse shut out Knoch 19-0 on a cold Saturday afternoon to improve to 5-1. No other stats were provided from this game.
