MERCER — If you're heading to Mercer, then you might want to set your watch ahead of time.

Officials said the clocks on the rotunda of the town's courthouse are wrong.

Mercer County Chief Clerk Timothy Hofius said the electronic clockworks are to blame. When the chimes sound, the clocks appear to short out.

Hofius said the end of daylight-saving time last month made the problem even worse.

Officials said the company that maintains the clocks will eventually make the necessary repairs.
