Joseph Liperato

Joseph Liperato, 97, of Zelienople passed away Tuesday while under the care of the Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.

Born Aug. 20, 1914, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Luigi and Giovanna (Strange) Liperato.

Joseph was a member of the Riverview United Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh.

He proudly served his country during World War II as a lieutenant in the 78th Division and was the proud recipient of numerous medals.

He was a member of the Beaver Valley YMCA and the American Legion Post 474 for 53 years.

After many years of dedicated service, he retired from the Harpers Oil Co. in Zelienople where he delivered fuel oil.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, the late Angelo Liperato.

<B>LIPERATO</B> — Friends of Joseph Liperato, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, will be received on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 3 p.m. at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home</B>, 219 E.
