Robert Raybould

Robert E. Raybould, 92, of Grove City passed away at 2:40 p.m. Sunday at the Grove Manor Nursing Home, Grove City.

He was born in Forestville on Jan. 20, 1920, to John James Raybould and Margaret Grace Buchanan.

He married Dorothy J. Mallary on June 30, 1945, and she passed away May 18, 2011.

Bob retired in 1974 from PennDOT of Pennsylvania, Butler, where he was an equipment operator, and formerly he was a dragline operator in the strip mining industry.

He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisoner of war in Germany.

Surviving are one sister, Irma Lee “Dolly” Briggs of Grove City, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, George J., James B. and his twin, Jackson E. Raybould; and one sister, Mary Ellen Murray.

RAYBOULD — The funeral service for Robert E. Raybould, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, will be at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Willard Morse, visitation pastor of the Grace United Church, officiating.Visiting hours will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
