Annabell Smith

Annabell Smith, 87, of Valencia passed away Friday, Feb. 14, surrounded by loved ones at her home.

She was born July 9, 1926, in Pittsburgh, to C. Leo and Augusta (Knoll) Kohler.

She retired from Lockhart Steel as a secretary. After retirement, she worked many jobs taking care of children and the elderly.

She was a member of CrossWay Church Assembly of God in Valencia.

Surviving are her daughters, Georganne Gajar of Butler, Ruth Paris (Dan) of Hillsboro, Ore., and Suellyn Sherwood of Damascus, Md.; her son, George Smith (Rose) of Woodbridge, Va.; her granddaughters, Tonya (Kevin) Blank of Mars, Georgiann (Charlie) Geyer of Butler, Samantha Younts (Cullen) of Manassas, Va., and Amber Sherwood of Damascus, Md.; her grandsons, Zachary Smith of Woodbridge, Va., and Adam (Hillary) Paris of Hillsboro, Ore.; her sister, Dorothy Kucia of Allentown, Pa., and her eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Smith Jr., who passed away in November of 2005; her grandson, Brian Gajar, and her sister, Ruth Gumto.

SMITH — A memorial service for Annabell Smith, who passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, will be at CrossWay Church, 109 Davis Road, Valencia, at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5.
