Alma Geraldine 'Gerry' Guntrum
Alma Geraldine “Gerry” Guntrum, 80, of Parker passed away Thursday morning of natural causes at her home at Parker Heights.
Born on April 29, 1934, in Rimersburg, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Susie Conner Guntrum.
She attended the presently known Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District until 1951 and graduated from the Springville, N.Y., High School in 1952. She then graduated from the Erie Business Institute.
Gerry was employed over 20 years by the Robinson Knife Factory, from where she retired. Following retirement, she returned to the Perryville area in the early 1970s.
She was a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church since 1944. She was active in the church work, especially assisting with dinners as long as her health permitted.
Gerry enjoyed the bingo games with zest at the Parker Heights.
Surviving are one sister, Gloria Guntrum Merwin of Perryville (Parker); two brothers, Dale Guntrum of New York state and Buddy Guntrum of Homosassa, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
GUNTRUM — Friends of Alma Geraldine “Gerry” Guntrum, who died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Corbin Russell and the Rev. Ken Hughes, pastors of the Perryville United Methodist Church, officiating.
